Academics

Academics are very important to the Delta Theta chapter. The sisters in our chapter are in a variety of majors including Pharmacy, Nursing, Biology, Pharmaceutical Business, Management, Musical Theater, and many more. Our chapter has also obtained many academic achievements recently. Zeta Tau Alpha had the most improved GPA of the sororities at ONU in 2018 and had the highest term GPA for the 2019 spring semester.

Every year, our chapter hosts our annual Spring Tea. This event has sisters and their families in attendance in order to recognize our member's individual academic achievements. One of the awards is the Pearl Dangle award, which is given to sisters who receive a 4.0 one semester, got on Dean's List two consecutive semesters, or improved their GPA significantly over the past year. During 2019 Spring Tea, we had 29 of our 62 sisters receive this award.

The Delta Theta chapter has established many programs to help maintain and improve our sister's goal GPAs and our overall GPA. We have two main programs to help with the first being our mentor program, which pairs new members with older sisters in the same major as the new member to help guide them and study together. Our other main program is our study tables program, which requires sisters below a certain GPA to obtain a certain amount of points per week, which can be earned by going to office hours, attending tutoring sessions, and tracking hours spent studying at the library.
