The sisters of Zeta Tau Alpha at ONU are very committed to philanthropy and service. We host numerous philanthropy events yearly to promote breast cancer education and awareness.
Each October, the sisters host our annual Pink Month. Throughout the month, the campus is decorated in pink ribbons and the sidewalks are chalked with breast cancer facts. October is filled with events such as a Pink Pasta Dinner, a breast cancer themed bingo night, a Kiss Away Cancer booth, a Pink Football game and Pink Month t-shirt sales. The Pink Ribbon Football game allows sisters to gather to release pink balloons on the field in honor of those who have fought breast cancer.
The ZTA Race for the Ribbon 5K occurs every April and stands as the most succesful philanthropic project in Greek life, raising over $5,000 each year. For more information on this event, please visit the Race for the Ribbon tab under philanthropy.
Sisters also participate in many service events including:
- Adopt a Highway
- Clothing drives
- Cooking and serving chili dinners at the ReStore Community Center
- Canned food drives for the Ada Food Pantry
- Volunteering at the Humane Society
